However, your optimism won't last long once you realize that you're running out of time. Unfortunately, it's tough to know what to do to make the best out of a difficult situation. Don't try to hide your mistakes. Let others know as soon as possible that you might have promised more than you can deliver. People will be more sympathetic if you're honest. After all, you're human just like everyone else.
